SACO scoops Channel 4's 'Celebrity Come Dine With Me'

SACO has played host to Channel 4’s Celebrity Come Dine With Me by providing an apartment as a film location for the popular national TV show.

The celebrity special, aired on Sunday February 15, saw Brookside’s heart throb, Phillip Olivier host a dinner party for his three guests in one of SACO’s penthouse apartments in Holborn, London.
 
The programme sees four celebrities play host for one night, creating a lavish three-course meal for their guests. Rating each other with marks out of ten, each celebrity plays to win £1,000 to go to the charity of their choice.

Last week’s celebrity special saw Phillip Olivier up against comedy actor Christopher Biggins, former MP Edwina Curry and BBC presenter Julia Bradbury.

Olivier used the space and home comforts of the SACO apartment to impress his guests with a menu of chicken live pâté, pan fried red mullet with sour cherry and pine nut stuffing and the great British classic, Eton Mess, to finish. His cooking was a hit with the other contestants, but sadly Phillip took the runner up position, losing out to born entertainer, Christopher Biggins.

Tim Ripman, area operations manager at SACO Holborn said: “It was great to have the film crew in for the evening. The apartments lend themselves to this type of programme as they act as a home from home. Phillip was the only celebrity not to host the dinner in his own home, but you would never have known from watching the programme.”
